Let’s have a chat

This past Sunday night I had the immense pleasure of interviewing Dr. Valerie Raoul on the Storytelling Show, the radio programme I host on Vancouver Cooperative Radio.

Short of interviewing Penny from Inspector Gadget, this is pretty much the closest I am going to get to being on air with my feminist hero of life.

Spending an hour chatting with her on the radio?

AWESOME.

This weekend has been an absolute whirlwind – last long training runs (for the Sunshine Coast half-marathon next Sunday); Easter feasts; tennis games; park workouts; awful movies; stand-up shows; and theme (house) parties.

And looking forward to this week, we’re just going to do it all again!

A few snaps from around the block:

Happy Spring my friends!

  1. i wuzz gonna say “we are ALL GOING TO DIE” — you and running w/o sox and me. however: you (‘n sox) won’t die: you’re prepared! you’ll enjoy it! you WON’T start out too fast, in fact you’ll hover about even splits. i don’t know ‘sox’ but i bet she (assume “she”ness?) will do fine. now me: i jogged a humble/mere 6+ miles saturday and was real tired. i’m doing a 7-mile (really tough!) trail run sat. 4/13 and right now plan to start off real slow and then taper off, to quote the late great Walter Stack.

    1. Running withOUT sox? Like SOCKS? I could never!

I will definitely be focusing on not going out too fast. That’ll get ya! Enjoy you runs! I hope they are just beautiful. :)

  2. How Exciting – I just think being on the radio would be cool! Good Luck with the training, running and marathons – you are a warrior sweetie:) Happy Tuesday – loving your captures

    1. I would love to interview you about all of your adventuring one day! That would be one fun hour :)

And thank you! I feel like you know all about warrior mode engagement :)
