Some things:
Hair, hair, down to there.
I recently cut five inches off my hair.
It was either that or turn full-mermaid.
Spice up your life.
Marc is a brilliant task-master and we recently re-organized our spice cabinet.
We bought some small glass jars at the dollar store, and then I hand-wrote the name of each spice on the front.
This lovely little project reminds me something the tremendous Laura Beth of Perched on a Whim might do. Seeing as though I worship at her alter of BEAUTIFUL CRAFTS OF LIFE, I am still feeling a little giddy.
Strange crushes.
Am I the only one who really likes David Hyde Pierce?
But like, in that way?
But I don’t know what to do with that tossed salad and scrambled eggs…
They’re calling again.
Happy Wednesday!
I love your spice jars. Refilling and labeling spice jars is my personal version of therapy.
That is good therapy. And the smell! YES.
Not a big fan of David Hyde Pierce outside of his role as Niles, of course. I heard him reading Dr. Seuss’s Hop on Pop (I can’t for the life of me remember where I heard it though) and he was doing it all wrong!! That’s my beef with him. It’s all I got.
Lol! But it’s true though – thinks like that can really get to a person. Mostly I just love DHP as Niles, because I love Niles. I’m not sure I even know anything else he’s done…
I love organizing. I just finished doing my canned goods.
FAB! Love, love that kind of stuff. :)
Your hair looks great! The spice organization is INSPIRED! And, who doesn’t LOVE Niles?
Thanks love! It’s silly how much I love to open that cabinet now…and NILES! Be still my heart…
I’m not a big fan of cooking but alas I cook everyday. The only thing that gets me through is adding spices to everything because then I pretend I’m a wizard making a potion. If I had jars like this I would feel even more like a wizard!
I love this comment the most. Probably one of the best I’ve ever gotten. Nothing better than feeling like a wizard. Cooking just got 1000x more fun!
Love the hair! But you would have made for a fine-looking mermaid too! ;)
Thanks sweets! It’s all practice for when I finally take the plunge (into the brine-y ocean depths!) xx
You done gone made my day, Vanessa! Thanks for the shout out.
A recent, unexpected, very exciting decision has made for an overconsumption of my time and attention, but I wanted to take a break and check in on my favorite blogs today. Your title is so whimsical; I want to sing it with the Mad Hatter and the March Hare.
As for the spice organization: fab-YOU-lous! Nice work, and what an aesthetic way to showcase said sprinklings. Very classy!
You make my day on a regular basis, and serve as such an amazing source of inspiration!
How have you been my friend? I have been nuts, but I think things may be getting a little better so THANK GOODNESS.
I miss all your delightful posts. Must get caught up…
Nuts is a good way to describe it, Vanessa. Transition City is my current residence, and while it’s welcome, it is something to adjust to. You have handled your return gracefully, and you’ve given me the confidence to step away from the blog whenif I need to.
I feel like the worst blogger friend of life. I am so sorry that I haven’t been commenting on your marvelous posts. Please know that I have been diligently reading, but I feel rotten that I haven’t been letting you know how much I adore everything in which you publish.
Also, I am going to dognap Lola Butters because she is the cutest of life.
Ahem.
But long hair looks so pretty! That’s what I hear the Significant Other say when I mention I’m due for a hair cut. But like you, I feel I have to lop off a certain amount every now and then! ha! Love, love the spice jars. You make me feel very inadaquete, lazy, and uncreative. Yet you inspire me, girlfriend! hee hee! :)
Haha, that picture was post-cut! It was even longer before…yeesh…
I get what you mean though…growing your hair out can be a huge pain. Better to make sure that you keep it a certain length so when you do go for the chop, it’s not super traumatizing!
And thanks! I love them too – and you are anything but! You always inspire me! :)
You’re gorgeous. And I’m still alive over here, just haven’t even had time to take a breath for myself lately. I’m also still a diligent reader of this here lovely blog whether I comment or not. But regardless, you’re still wonderful and I’m hoping your days pass swimmingly my dear!
Thanks doll :) It seems as though I fell off the blogger planet for a while there…too much stuff happening to even get close to a keyboard. I hopet o be writing more now!
I hope that everything is beauty and love on your end. You deserve it all! x
Ohmygoodness, I have such a huge secret crush on David Hyde Peirce which i always thought was strange too. I’m glad I’m not the only one!
-Kaitlyn :)
Kaitlyn! Not even close. I find him dashing. I will always love him (and his zany physical comedy!)
i’m NOT (and WUZZN’T) gonna comment on this post. but, eh, now … organizing. hmmm.
however: this is the l o o o oo o n n g est YOOVE gawn w/o posting, ever! i know i speek for the multitoodz of yore rapt followears when i say that i am just a little, slightly, a bit … worried. (grate pixure of yoo looking sultry and jes’ a liddle pouty!)
I’m sorry! I am back. Life was crazy and I had no time but I’m back (hopefully)!
And thank you for the lovely comment. Let’s hope I can keep it that way. :/ Hah!
